We create documentary wedding films that preserve the beauty of your day and the people who made it meaningful.

Watch a Wedding Film

We focus on the relationships, emotions, and candid moments you will want to remember.
Our goal is to create a film that brings you back not just to how the day looked, but to what mattered inside of it.

What it's like to work with us
We want the experience to feel easy and natural from the start. On the wedding day, we are there to be a calm presence, pay attention to what matters, and document it with care while you stay present with your people.
We come prepared and do not cut corners, using the coverage, audio, and backup systems needed to make sure the important parts of the day are captured well.
In both our packages, we film with a two person team so the day can be covered with more flexibility and fewer compromises.

How it works
1. Let's Connect
Tell us about your date, your plans, and what matters most to you.
2. Plan together
We touch base with your planner and key vendors so we are on the same page and nothing important gets missed.
3. Wedding day
We show up prepared and document the day with care, capturing it in a way that lets you stay present.
4. After the wedding
We carefully edit your film and deliver everything included in your collection within the timeline we shared with you.
Who you’ll be working with

COLLIN WALKER
Collin brings a steady, experienced presence to wedding days, and has been filming weddings alongside Michael since 2018. His work is also shaped by years in Seattle’s commercial film scene.
He has contributed to projects for some of the biggest brands in the region, and even one of his favorite bands, Pearl Jam.
He and Michael have been making films together for over 10 years, and that shared rhythm shows up in the way they work together on a wedding day.
Calm, observant, and easy to have around, Collin helps make sure the important moments are captured with care.

MICHAEL HOANSHELT
Michael started Neighboring Light Weddings in 2020 as a way to make wedding films with the same care for story and meaning that shapes the rest of his work.
He has been filming weddings since 2018 and is currently directing a documentary about multiplayer video games and their impact on the world.
He is drawn to the people, relationships, and small moments that give a day its meaning, and when he is not filming or editing, he is probably watching movies.
