PROJECT STORIES
Neural Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that unites the neuroscience of learning with the power of teaching.
Their mission is to bring safety, structure, and a sense of belonging to every student and classroom.
Using research-based, brain-aligned practices, they work to dismantle barriers like stress and emotional reactivity so classrooms can become low-stress, safe, and productive learning environments where students can be seen, heard, and supported.
Neighboring Light Entertainment had the opportunity to step into real classrooms and document real-life stories from educators impacted by Neural Education’s work. These were two separate testimonial productions (late 2023 and early 2025), built around honest moments, lived experience, and what it actually looks like when brain based practices show up in the day to day of teaching.

The first film, “I Remembered Why I Got Into Teaching,” follows Laura, a high school educator, and captures how the work can restore clarity and purpose, not just for students, but for teachers too. The second, “We’re All Friends in Kindergarten,” takes place at Sawyer Woods Elementary and highlights a kindergarten classroom where regulation tools and classroom structure create a calm, connected environment for learning.

Neural Education wanted the interviews to feel connected to the classroom, so we filmed on-location at the respective schools, and we also got to observe real students who’ve been impacted by the work firsthand.
